The grid, hairline rules, mono labels, odometers, the nav dropdown and this site's announcement bar are measured from Latent's own stylesheets. The research notes record every value and every place this site departs from it.

- 01Every text and ground pairing in the palette is tested for WCAG AA contrast in the test suite, including all five case study chapter grounds.
- 02Animation has a reduced-motion path. Reveals fall back to a plain fade, and the odometer, logo and marquee hold still.
- 03A skip link leads the page. The mobile menu traps focus, closes on Escape and returns focus to its toggle.
- 04The mobile menu toggle and the announcement close are 44px hit targets.
- 05Not yet done: a full screen reader pass and an outside audit.
Compatibility
- 01Built for current evergreen browsers. Surfaces use color-mix() and backdrop-filter, which older browsers ignore gracefully.
- 02Fonts are self-hosted, subset to Latin, and swap in with metric overrides so text doesn't shift as they load.
- 03Hairlines draw at half a CSS pixel on high-density screens and one pixel everywhere else.
- 04Old colour names (onyx, monstera and the rest) stay defined for one release while the code moves to Cheriyan DS names.
